Jeff Dawson
My
boating experience started at age 5. Most of my childhood
was spent cruising the west coast of Mexico with my
family. Throughout the years I have owned several
sail and power boats. Currently my family and I have
a 36 foot Catalina sailboat. We enjoy cruising, racing
and most of all being in Catalina. Cynamon and I have
been married for 11 years. Together we have four children:
Tom age 22, Josh age 17, Madison age 10 and Jack age
7. Our two youngest are both involved in the Juniors
Sailing Program at SlBYC. We enjoy being very involved
in the club and have made a lot of new friends. We
are happy to be a part of the Seal Beach Yacht Club
family.

Commodore Jim Hanna
A native of the greater Long Beach
area, Jim has lived near the ocean for most of his
life. Jim relishes in the fun and adventure that only
the ocean can provide. Rain or shine, Jim would rather
be out on the water boating, fishing, or diving. Jim
has been sailing since he was 14 years old with his
dad, Terry. He enjoys racing and his expertise is
on the foredeck. Jim also likes cruising and relaxing
with his friends and family, especially at the Catalina
Isthmus. Jim and his wife, Carina, will be celebrating
their 23rd wedding anniversary this summer. They live
in Seal Beach with their children Stephanie and Eric.
